Why You Need a New Camera

So you know how sometimes you go to a school event kind of thing and while your cutie pie is doing their thang on stage you look around and notice that all the parents are holding up their phones? I always feel a little sad for some reason. Maybe because, why are we all just holding up our phones in front of our faces instead of actually watching our babies play Liesl in the Sound of Music or compete in a swim meet or play t-ball for the first time? Shouldn’t we just put the electronics down and simply enjoy these times? Oh hells to the no. We need to capture the moment! and then force everyone else to enjoy it too! It’s part of our culture! We owe it to our shorties to never digitally miss a thing.

Back in the day (fine last year) I had a Blackberry. Can you believe it? I know you probably think I was living in the dark ages. I could only play Brick Breaker on it; I didn’t even have Bejeweled! What kind of life was I living? But then my husband browbeat me into getting an iPhone because I am so adverse to change I would’ve held onto my Berry forever. Hey, I’d just figured out how to add a contact!  But once I finally had the iPhone and figured out how to use it, it  was as if the skies opened up and a new world was visible to me. Mainly I felt like I was sort of set camera-wise.

I mean the camera on the iPhone has a few pixels, it auto focuses, it’s fine. The thing is, I was blissfully unaware that it was possible to take better looking high quality pics on a smartphone and have it be just as easy to maneuver as working the iPhone. But you know, once you’re aware, it’s hard to unknow that kind of thing. So if you are still taking and sharing most of your pictures on your phone, I almost hate to let  you know that I have this sweet new Samsung camera that has 15 pixels yet does everything my regular phone does as far as instantly posting pics to FB, Twitter, Instagram (if you don’t mind your pictures being sold to foreign countries and used on the black market for sex scandals etc.), and all your other social networking needs. It also takes video. On the last page was a beautiful picture of cousin Beck which the kids can’t stop looking at. Sure, I had to go kicking and screaming into Samsung ownership but now that I have it and can use it, I’m thrilled and can never go back!! And here’s the thing, you can win one! See below for more details!
