16 Wise and Wonderful Birth and Pregnancy Quotes

Having been through two pregnancies with my wife, and watching her move through her third as I write this, I know that I am just another in a very, very long line of men and women before me who have stood by and witnessed the magic of of your their own child being formed in the belly of a lady.

And yet, there is something extremely personal about the entire experience, as any parent who has ever lived will tell you.

It almost feels as if we are feeling the entire whoosh and swirl of a vast galaxy zooming in to focus just on our pregnant partners, on our babies being born, and on those of us standing by and watching in awe.

Here then are some of the more witty and wonderful birth and pregnancy quotes that I have encountered recently, as my wife (that’s her in all of the photos) and I prepare to welcome a new son into this world.  They are the words of great thinkers with powerful minds, some whose names we will always remember, and some whose names we will never know.

Enjoy.
