Godric

Godric hasn’t seen popularity since the Middle Ages, and it’s not too hard to see why. It has a distinct Old English feel, and its meaning—”power of god” or “God-ruler”—makes it out to be a little arrogant. But this name has started to make a subtle comeback thanks to pop culture. Harry Potter fans will know the name from the brave Godric Gryffindor, one of the founders of Hogwarts.
