Teddy

Teddy might seem like a cute name for a little snuggly baby, but it could also be a name for a fierce protector. Teddy’s most famous namesake, President Theodore “Teddy” Roosevelt, was a war hero, a conservationist and once gave a 90-minute speech after being shot in the chest. It’s a lot for a boy to live up to! In any case, it’s definitely more contemporary sounding than Edward or Theodore, so it could work as a tribute name, too.
