Zina

A short name with many meanings! Zina (not to be confused for the Warrior Princess, Xena) appears in African, Greek, Hebrew and Russian, just to name a few. The African meaning is probably the most prolific: Zina is the term for a child’s secret spirit name. Like Zora, this is an attractive and spunky name with the added appeal—and dare we say, zing—of a “Z” name.

  • african: Name; secret spirit name
  • greek: Welcoming; guest; hospitable
