We’re starting solids any day now. I’ve been saying that for at least four weeks. I’m not sure what my hesitation is, but I keep putting off just a few more days. I think part of it is that once we start I want to be consistent and make sure we have our family dinners together each night, and frankly life is kind of hectic right now.
I’m sure I’m over-thinking it, but I also feel like starting solid foods is a HUGE milestone for babies. And because of that, I feel like I need to be well informed and prepared. As a food and health nut myself, it’s really important to me that I’m armed with information so that I can give my little guy what my husband and I feel is best for him.
I have found baby food cookbooks and parenting books on children’s nutrition to be a great resource for helping me feel reassured and ready as we start this next adventure. I think our family is going to do a balance of purees along with some baby led weaning — I’m excited to see how it goes!
