11 Handmade Summer Dresses for Baby Girl

This summer has been surprisingly hot. And this is coming from a Florida girl. We spend most of our time outside walking around the city and I always want to make sure that Avery stays as cool as possible while riding in her stroller. I’ve been putting her in dresses this summer because they are easy to get on and they allow her to stay a little bit cooler in the hot sun.

I put her in many of the same dresses week after week and many of them are hand-me-downs. I have finally decided to spruce up her wardrobe and buy her some new summer dresses. I love supporting small businesses and love handmade, unique clothing for my girls.

Check out some of favorite handmade summer dresses for baby girls!

  • Maisie Organic Dress 2 of 12

I always appreciate getting an organic cotton dress and love that smaller companies will put forth the extra effort to purchase organic fabric for their clothing. I love this dark purple color with the polka dots. The buttons on the shoulder make it a great option for babies who don't like clothes put over their heads (like Avery).

Get it from Sewn Nautral, $68.00

  • Red Printed Dress 3 of 12
I always love original dresses that truly are one of a kind. All of the dresses from this designer are hand printed and handmade. I love the mix of colors and prints on this dress. It's truly unique.
  • Lace and Chambray Dress 4 of 12

I've been eye this dress for such a long time that I really just need to buy it for Avery. I love the delicate lace on the front that gives it that feminine look. The unique peter pan-esque collar gives the dress a little bit of edge. I would love to see Avery in this dress this summer.

Get it from Duchess & Lion, $50.00

  • Neon Striped Dress 5 of 12
Neon is in this season and it looks super cute on this jersey knit dress. I love the collar and the bow attached to the front of the dress. It adds just a little touch to a simple cotton dress.
  • Summer Sunshine Dress 6 of 12
This dress has a little bit of a vintage vibe to it and the huge sunshine on it makes it perfect for summer. I adore the little pocket on the front of it to add a little extra flair. I can only imagine Avery picking up little things along the way on our walks and putting them in the pocket.
  • Floral Dress 7 of 12

This dress has a shabby chic vintage look to it that I absolutely adore. The white trim on the bottom just tops it all off. I love that it cinches in the waist. A perfect dress that you can dress up or down this summer.

Get it from Melime BabyBeeShop, $45.00

  • Mermaid Dress 8 of 12
It's an adorable mermaid on a dress. Need I say more?
  • Tiger Paw Dress 9 of 12

I've fallen in love with this brand and all of their handmade clothing. I love that this tiger print dress has a bit of a feminine flare with the pink on grey, but when you look at it and see that it's tiger prints, it has all that edge to it. Avery loves to twirl around in dresses just like her big sister and this would be a great "twirl" dress.

Get it from Thief and Bandit, $52.00

  • Pink and White Tracks Lucy Dress 10 of 12

Harlan has a swimsuit that reminds me of this dress. I am a big pink person, so the unique design along with the pink was what sold this dress for me.

Get it from Dot Dot Smile, $30.00

  • Lemon Ice Dress 11 of 12
Yellow is the perfect color for summer because it represents the bright yellow sunshine that shines bright throughout the season. The lace detail on the dress makes it a simple, yet classic dress.
  • Little Flowers Dress 12 of 12

This pattern is just stunning. I love the mix of the darker colors with the brighter ones. Pair it with a cute pair of sandals and your little one will look adorable running around in it this summer.

Get it from Melime Baby Bee Shop, $34.00
