19 Photos From Grayson’s Day at the National Cherry Blossom Festival

Sometimes I forgot how lucky we are to live so close to the Nation’s capital. This week was a reminder of how I really need to take advantage of heading down to the city more often and I’ve promised myself to take a day trip once a week. Every year my Grandmother and I have gone to see the Cherry Blossoms in full bloom. It’s a beautiful springtime celebration as the National Cherry Blossom Festival celebrates spring in Washington, DC which is the beautiful gift of the cherry blossom trees. I just learned that it also signifies the enduring friendship between the people of the United States and Japan, according to the website.

I was so excited to take Grayson and two of his sisters to see the Cherry Blossoms this week. It’s been 90 degrees almost everyday and it was such a great change to get out of the house and enjoy the day! I am even more excited to share it with you.

Have you ever visited the National Cherry Blossom Festival?
