5 Ways to Stay Stylish After Baby

I know how tough it can be to maintain your style after the baby comes. It used to take me 45 minutes to get ready in the morning, now I feel like it takes double the amount of time because I have two little girls vowing for my attention throughout the process. With very little time to get ready and even to shop for myself, I began to notice that I was starting to slack on my style because I didn’t want to deal with the hassle.

After remembering what I said to myself nearly three years ago when I had my first daughter, I knew that I couldn’t let myself go. I always said that just because I am a mom doesn’t mean I have to lose my sense of style. Looking presentable has always been something that was important to me and I didn’t want to let the time crunch of having the girls with me all day get in the way with that. After thinking about it for a while, I came out with five things that I can do to still remain stylish all while being a mom to my two wonderful little girls.

Check out the five ways to stay stylish after the baby is born after the jump!

Putting on makeup doesn't have to take 20-30 minutes to do. I have 4 pieces of makeup that I put on to go out and it literally takes me only five minutes to put on. I use a tinted moisturizer, blush, mascara, and powder. If I am going out somewhere a bit nicer, I will then apply some eye liner and eye shadow, which will only add a couple extra minutes to my makeup routine. Starting with a simple makeup routine in the morning can make you feel more self confident throughout the day.
  • Find the perfect pair of shoes. 2 of 5
Find the perfect pair of shoes.
I love a good pair of shoes. I try to keep some great classic shoes staples in my closet for those days and nights that I am going out with my girlfriends. Even if I am going out with my kids, I put on a great pair of flats that accents my outfit or a nice looking pair of sandals. Wedges are great for wearing during the day and at night because they are comfortable and won't hurt your feet.
  • Find a hairstyle that works for you. 3 of 5
Find a hairstyle that works for you.
Shortly after having my oldest daughter I cut my hair in a short bob. I had longer hair, but it would always go up in a ponytail because I just couldn't find the time to do it. I finally consulted with my hair stylist that suggested that I cut it shorter. With the shorter do, it's easier for me to style and I am much more likely to do it everyday because it doesn't take much time.
  • Accessorize 4 of 5
    Accessorize
Wearing great accessories with any outfit can dress it up and give it style. I am always wearing a plain t-shirt with a pair of jeans. Alone it could look kind of sloppy. But once I put on a scarf or a great statement necklace and bracelets, it immediately dresses it up.
  • Buy a great pair of jeans. 5 of 5
Buy a great pair of jeans.
Jeans are and have always been a staple in my wardrobe. You can dress them up or dress them down and they go with just about anything. I am currently really into the skinny style jeans as I feel they fit my figure the best. These
    Levi's
are stylish and comfortable and fit me so well since having Avery. And we all know that buying jeans after having a baby can sometimes be a bit rough.
