We pull out a big stack of book at least twice a day. Once right before nap time, and then again as part of the bedtime routine. It’s a great way to wind down, and spend a few more peaceful minutes together, before the end of the day.
I’ve learned that when it comes to teaching healthy habits, or introducing something new, reading about it through story is a fantastic way to teach new concepts.
Right before we had Paul, we read tons of book about bringing home a baby. And when we potty train, we surround ourselves with stories of using the toilet.
And right now, I have two teethers. My two year old Gage, and baby Paul. In effort to create happy and healthy oral hygiene, we’ve currently taken to reading “teeth” books.
