7 Sun Hats For Babies

By Lauren Hartmann |

Proof that baby sun hats can be cute AND functional.

Along with spring comes sunshine (hopefully anyway) and with this comes the need for little mini sun hats to shade your baby’s delicate skin.

Unfortunately, most of these sun hats are incredibly ugly and overly cutesy, which for parents who try to dress their children in simple, non-fussy items is incredibly frustrating.  Luckily there are a few cute baby hats out their just in time for the sun to come out.

See the hats after the jump!

That fedora is the one I got B for this summer! He lived in his last summer so I knew I had to get another this year!

I find it incredibly difficult to find an appropriate hat for my daughter. She is 3 years old and needs a hat for the beach that has a wide enough brim to keep the sun off her face and neck and has a chin strap to keep the hat on her head when the wind picks up – like it always does at the beach. I see more hats for women at the stores than I do for kids but I never actually see women wearing hats out in the real world. Why don’t stores carry more hats for kids? I don’t get it. There’s all this talk about keeping kids out of the sun yet I can’t find a simple hat for my child! It seems the hats I want are made either for babies or adults. Even places like LL Bean or Land’s End don’t carry that style – neither do Target or Walmart. I’m at a loss. Anyone have any ideas?

Love the fedora! My little guy has a whole hat wall that needs some good summer options- these are great!
