We’re in the final stretch of Abby’s 1st year. The last quarter. Yesterday, she turned 8 months old.
Getting only more charming as each day passes, stealing the hearts of all who cross her path.
None so much as mine of course. Or her father’s. We’re allowed that right? As her parents?
There has been so much change this month with my darling baby girl. Sleeping through the night, an end to breastfeeding, (more on that later) – and growing so quickly.
She’s already wearing 12-18 month old clothing with some of that even getting too small for her. Depending on the brand of clothing.
Because we all know that baby clothing is whack and no two brands are alike.
We’ve moved into stage 2 foods and she’s fetchingly chubbed out at 15 pounds. Story-time has taken over as her favourite activity, next to music-time. Loving the sound of her own voice, she can frequently be heard throughout the walls of our home babbling in a sing-song voice at the top of her lungs.
Her newest feat? A little something we like to call the boot scootin’ boogie. This consists of not-so-much crawling as it is Abby scooting backwards across floor surfaces to get around. Usually to end up under a table, couch or chair. It’s highly amusing to the rest of us, although this form of entertainment may be short lived. Lil’ Abner is showing all signs of making crawling her next milestone to master.
Just please don’t be this week. Please. (I’m away at The One of a Kind Show in Toronto).
In the meantime, please enjoy some random photos of her diva’s cuteness on a typical day from her seventh month as she journeys into her eighth!
