8 Things to do With Your Baby This SpringLauren Jimeson
Spring is my favorite season of the year. The gorgeous weather, the beautiful flowers, and the desire to just spend all of the time outdoors. I’ve really made it my goal this spring to get out and enjoy everything that the season has to offer. Although it hasn’t been as warm here in the city, there have been a few days that are absolutely perfect.
Avery loves being outside, especially now that she can run around. I want her to get her fix before it gets too hot for us to be outside for an extended period of time. We will do things on our own and as an entire family. There are so many fun things to do with your baby this spring! Get out and enjoy it!

A Walk in the Park 2 of 9
We are lucky enough to live about five minutes away from Central Park. We go every Saturday for breakfast and to walk around. One of our favorite parts is this little pond so that we can watch the ducks and the mini boats. Going to the park is a great family bonding time that allows all of us to have fun and enjoy this wonderful spring weather.
Take Me Out to the Ballgame 3 of 9
We thought it was risky taking Avery to a baseball game because she wants to walk around and get into everything. But to our surprise she had as much fun as we did. She munched on french fries, had fun in the kids section of the stadium, and loved "talking" to the people sitting near us in the stands.
Ice Cream Truck 4 of 9
The weather is finally warm enough that the ice cream trucks have started to emerge from their winter slumber. We've made a few extra special stops at the truck near our apartment and Avery has had a few tastes of ice cream. It's definitely a sweet treat worth indulging in.
Stop and Smell the Flowers 5 of 9
You know it's spring in NYC when the tulips are blooming everywhere. Avery has a crazy fascination with flowers that we see all over the city. As we walk around everywhere, Avery just wants to stop and smell them. I've now put in extra time on our walks to and from places just so she can stop to see the gorgeous flowers.
Take a Stroll 6 of 9
We have been taking full advantage of this gorgeous spring weather before it gets too hot for us to be outside. Avery loves to be in her stroller on these gorgeous days so she can just look around and people watch. I love that I'm getting in some exercise while also exploring different parts of the city.
Eat Outside 7 of 9
Whether it's eating outside at your favorite restaurant or making a picnic and spreading out on your favorite blanket, the spring is the perfect time to get outside and enjoy a meal.
Go For a Swing 8 of 9
Avery loves the swings. I've been taking her to the playground on some afternoons to enjoy running around and the swings. She loves being pushed up and down.
Carousel Ride 9 of 9
There are some things that just bring me back to my childhood. Carousel rides are one of those things. There are a couple parks here in NYC that have gorgeous carousels in them. Avery wasn't quite sure about it at first, but then she fell in love! We now try to do it as much as we can!
