Full of rambunctious personality (and actions), my girl has me running to keep up with her these days. Her bro may have some part in that, but trust me. She’s keeping her own. This month has brought forth many a milestone.
All from her last drop of breastmilk, to crawling, eating stage two foods and sharing the tub with her brother. She’s going a mile a minute this one. As of much more recent I’ve done some extensive baby-proofing of the house, because she is into all of the everything.
With our first, we had to cover the basics, like plugging up all of the outlets, baby gates and door stoppers. You know those little sling things that keep little fingers from getting slammed and jammed as they try to constantly open up drawers and cupboards. Also known as annoying as hell to the parental units for when we want to get into drawers. That was in our old house.
Then we moved to this small town, to our bigger house with gaping stairwells, big concrete fireplaces and outlets galore. So I made a trip to the Safety 1st isle at, ‘Babies R Us’ the other day to stock up on all of those things and more. No more couch pillows surrounding the fireplace, because I’d really like a comfy couch again thank-you. Padded foam bumper pad. Doneski. Looks much more neat too.
While it may seem like the biggest feat Lil’ Abner has mastered this month is her ability to keep me on my toes, there are other far more darling and sweet developments to note. Such as singing along to songs, clapping. Lots and lots of clapping. Grabbing faces and giving big goobery kisses. Giving hugs. Oh my darling girl.
The slider below features all of the milestones that Abby has hurdled this month. I’ll let you figure out when she’s taken over the mic and when it’s me.
