Addie Is Four Months Old!
Do I look amused?
Addie is four months old… already! It seems like she was just born and I had introduced myself here on Baby’s First year. Actually I thought when I introduced myself on May 1st… I was actually going to still be pregnant!
She certainly has been a surprise since the get go!
Now we are still trying to sit up on our own, chewing on our favorite blankets, teething like crazy (thank heaven for Hyland’s teething tablets!) eating cereal, playing with toys… man where did my little wiggle worm that did nothing but sleep go? Certainly makes getting work done a little harder!
What else is my little chubs doing?
Well, she is up to a little over 13 pounds, she is gaining slow just like all of our other children have done… but we can tell she is growing since she is starting to make her way into 3-6 month clothes.
Oh and she totally rolled over the other morning, so I am officially on edge with my nerves and worrying about her rolling over while she is sleeping and not being able to roll back over. Talk about mothering anxiety!
I was getting her dressed for the day and walked out of the room for a moment to check on a screaming boy child, and when I went back in she was on her back ( I had left her on her belly for a few minutes of tummy time) and all I could do was cheer her on. It is so amazing to see your children making milestones especially after having a child that was delayed.
So, now onto our monthly photo shoot that she was certainly less than amused for this month!
Addie was less than amused to do pictures this month! 9 times out of 10 these days she has her pink blankey or Owlie with her. And a bink for bed... She was less than amused when I moved the blanket to take pictures of the owl. My husband lurked into the room... and things started to turn around Daddy was oogling at her, and she was smiling and trying to play shy If Daddy had his way she would have kept falling to the side in the lounger.

I worried about the roll over too. We are currently visiting my parents, and our sleeping arrangement is a hide-a-bed mattress on the floor with a folded blanket cosleeper attached. So it’s about four inches tall. Well, the other night, my four month old who has rolled over once rolled over off the side of the folded blankets. I woke up to her grunting, in her sleep, holding her head up high. She then laid her head down on its side so she could breathe, and I put her back on her back. So now my fears are ended– even in her sleep, she seems to be able to hold her up and put it down right. And if you cosleep, you’ll be able to hear her annoyance if she does roll over.
I’ve been following your updates on Addie since I saw that she was the same age as my Westley! She is a beautiful little baby. He just turned four months too! I look forward to continue to see how our lives parallel each other because of our babies being the same age!
