About the network: Deborah Campbell-Walsh, mother of two young girls and a San Diego native, founded San Diego Parent after discovering that, despite the wealth of information and resources in and about San Diego, there was no central location to find everything she was looking for. Plus, though she loved showing out-of-town visitors all San Diego had to offer, as a mom she had a much harder time finding child-related businesses and activities for her daily needs.
Why we love it: San Diego Parent emphasizes the fact that “parent” is merely one title its members hold. We love that they have included a local business directory; articles for local parents such as non-profit highlights, playgroup ideas, and information on local attractions; a recipe club; book and movie reviews; and more.
