Bathing Your Toddler (2-4 years)

FAQs

How old is too old to be bathing with my toddler?

It really depends on what is comfortable for the family. Children should never feel ashamed of their bodies, and parents should encourage curiosity. Don’t be alarmed. When you start to feel uncomfortable, it’s probably time for you to cover up.

When can my baby be left in the tub alone?

Most doctors think it’s smartest to keep an eye on your little one at all times until the age of six. The phone may be ringing, but always put your toddler’s safety first. Once baby is alone in the tub, check on them frequently, even if it’s yelling out a quick, “Are you ok?” from the next room.
