15 Body Changes During Pregnancy That I’m Not Looking Forward To

By Aela Mass |

My embryo transfer is scheduled for 8 days from today, and I am so excited to try again! After having taken the summer off to give myself a break from all the fertility meds, and after physically recovering from my 2nd-trimester miscarriage of my twins, I’m raring to go. My body feels revived and I’m mentally rejuvenated to begin this journey again.

I’ve been thinking about what it will be like to be pregnant again, and I’m praying that I make it past 17 weeks and deliver full term. While I will be SO HAPPY when that test comes back positive, there are some little things that I’m not looking forward to. And I’ve got to thank Australian News Online for their article that reminded me of the body changes of pregnancy that I’d rather have forgotten about.

That being said, I’m hoping that this pregnancy I’ll be able to cherish even the crappy symptoms and body changes and simply be so damn grateful that I’m pregnant. And I think I’ll do that just fine.

For the constipation take a probiotic every day. I was having a terrible time from the start of my pregnancy and my midwife suggested I start on a probiotic with mostly lactobacillus…I’m 21 weeks and haven’t had a problem since I started taking them!

I’ve always heard my mom giving pregnancy tips to my very pregnant step-sister. She says to make a cup of tea and when it’s done steeping, put the warm tea bag on your nipples. It’ll help soothe and moisturize. Plus you get to drink a cup of tea! :)
