Top 25 Autism Spectrum Blogs
The web has become a critical part of life for those impacted by autism, including many, many parents. It's not only an invaluable tool for quickly distributing information, but it's also an incredible source of community for those raising kids on the spectrum. Blogs, in particular, have provided those coping with autism a way to share their individual experiences and see that they are far from alone in their challenges and their triumphs. Read More ↓
There are hundreds and hundreds (if not thousands!) of great autism spectrum blogs out there, representing a wide diversity of perspectives, but together they demonstrate one thing: a commitment to bringing ASD issues out into the open, making it less and less possible to ignore families who live with them every day.
Choosing just 25 blogs to highlight here was no small feat; those selected are Autism Speaks staff favorites, but this is by no means an exhaustive list. We easily could have doubled or tripled the number here with the addition of many other beloved voices we return to again and again. If there are others you would add, we hope you'll share them with us. In the meantime, thank you for joining us and Babble in celebrating those listed here.

Curious to know how podcasts and youtube channels made the BLOG list…

Thanks, babble, for showcasing autism blogs. I think the autism community presents some of the best bloggers on the internet and I’m proud to be part of that community. These blogs reach out to many people and are just another voice and advocacy that we need to help our parents and children/adults on the spectrum.
Congrats to all the winners!

Well here I am with two sons diagnosed with autism. One is going to be 14 in one month, the other is 11 & it seems like he is going 13 on me! I am having a difficult time with his behavior that I feel we have reverted back to when he was 3 to 7 years old. Just when I thought we were on the right track I get the carpet pulled from underneath me. I am an ea at the school & I work in the sped. Dep. . So what has been going on is that he does not want to go to school thus he is lacking in impulse control, yelling, no school! So then of course even thow we have been at the school for two years. It seem the inevitable that we get asked those same old questions that I used to get when he was little . ” is there anything going on at home? Really! When I hear that I want to just scream! My husband & I are very spiritual, loving parents,we have more patience than the teachers do! There are times when the children are having melt downs & with the grace of God, iam able to get them to calm down & transition to the next task. Why is it that so many times people try to power control?
I also wanted to vent about the bulling! Dang it! I get so freakin tired of the schools calling me when something does happen&the first thing they say is for example, my son had placed his binder case on the ground during lunch break& behind his back 3 boys spit All over his binder. They were caught on tape & were reprimanded.yet when I got the phone call I was told that my son was not paying attention to his binder & that these boys spit on it. Really? Seriously!? I even set my things down once and a while . Why do they alwaysut a small part of blame on our children. Dear God every day, everyday, our children are always having to learn how to function in society! Why can’t people humble themes
Ves to realize what it may be like to live w/ constant bulling, constant redirection from teachers, plus having to sit in a classroom where it is difficult to concentrate & all the kids are working At a faster pace. Who’s bright idea was it to mainstream our kids? I prefer that my sons get quality education from similar peers than to be forever taunted by other children. My son is constantly stressed out! I look forward to summer! Not for my selfish reasons but to give my kids a break from the lions den!
