Baby Got a Cold? The One Easy Tip That'll Make A World Of Difference

Snotty nose? Try this trick.

I feel like this is one of those insider tips that are passed down from generation to generation, experienced mom to new mom and I thought it’s about time I share it with all of you too. A girlfriend of mine, a mom of two, shared this with me when Everly was a baby and I’ve never forgotten it!

Arlo and I are battling snotty colds this week and along with that comes TONS of nose wiping. Anyone who has been through this knows how chapped and red it can become under their little noses — the solution — nursing lanolin! If you’re like me, you’ve still got a tube leftover from the early days of breastfeeding. Smear a little bit under and around your little one’s nose and it will help keep the skin moisturized and protect it from the constant wiping. It can prevent chapped skin if you do it from the start, or help protect and heal chapped skin if your baby’s nose is already red.

It’s way better than lotion or any other balm because it’s super thick and waterproof too! Give it a try the next time your little one (or anyone in your family) gets a cold. You’ll be amazed at how well it works!
