Last year at this time I was eight months pregnant, having just moved across the country with my husband, the clothes in my suitcase, and approximately 1/100th of our belongings.
We left almost everything behind. This included but was not limited to: my prepregnancy wardrobe (most of which I’d sold), the entirety of my furnishings and beloved decorations, and all but five of my library of baby books for Mr. Huck.
The reasoning behind this at the time was: books are heavy, and for the first while Huck won’t really need to be read to. Thus, we will have our books shipped to us when we’re ready for them, and bring with us the more essential items instead. Like, our forks.
Well, so . . .
I was ready for the books six months ago, only we can’t exactly find the books? It’s a long story, don’t ask me. So, I have been instructed to start over from scratch.
This is where I need your help, folks. It’s time to restock our library.
Here are the classics we have so far:
The Hungry Caterpillar
Where The Wild Things Are
The Saggy, Baggy Elephant
Go Dogs Go!
The Runaway Bunny
Manners Can Be Fun
How To Behave And Why
Huck Runs Amock (maybe not a classic, but a favorite, that’s for sure)
Good ones, right? But what am I missing? What are your favorites? Off the top of my head I can think of “Pat The Bunny,” but this is a daunting task, friends.
Many mucho thanks in advance ;).
