Top 50 Etsy Baby Shops
We've updated the list: To view 2013's Top 50 Etsy Baby Shops, click here!Once again, we took on the overwhelming task of narrowing down our 50 favorite Etsy shops for the 18-months-and-under crowd — hunting for the most inventive toys, original outfits, and even our favorite vintage finds. By tapping into the artistic, entrepreneurial spirit booming in this creative community, we found that some of the most dedicated, industrious shop owners direct their numerous talents into the baby world — typically because they themselves are parents and want the best for their own kids. (Luckily, we can reap the benefits of their ingenuity.) Considering that there are so many talented artisans on Etsy, we deliberately didn’t repeat any Etsy shops from last year — so check back to our Best Etsy Shops of 2011 (as well as our Top 50 Etsy Moms of 2012) for more of our favorites. Of course, it’s impossible to recognize every single shop, so nominate your favorites, vote for the best, and continue to support the handmade community. — Michelle Horton

PukaPuka | Nina Still
About this shop: If you’re looking for a peaceful, modern, non-electronic baby mobile, Puka Puka is our top recommendation. Although this Aussie-based shop is known for their abstractly shaped kinetic mobiles (inspired by the ocean’s movements), they’ve recently branched off into modern felt mobiles as well. Whichever you choose, these mobiles will mesmerize babies and adults alike.
About this seller: In an effort to spend more time with her two kids, Nina blended her talents as an architect and a jeweler into designing and selling mobiles – which are more like hanging works of art than just ordinary baby products. Nina’s modern mobiles are mostly inspired by the Australian landscape and designed for any stylish space (nursery or not). Read more about Nina in our Top 50 Etsy Moms 2010 feature.
Signature Item: Marine Modern Mobile, $130
