About this shop: Kitty Egg crayons — basically egg-shaped crayons with adorable kitten faces and ears at the top — are made “for little hands with big imaginations.” The all-natural and long-lasting crayons, which come in a range of bright, bold colors, are made from Sara and Ben’s own soy and beeswax recipe. About these sellers: Based in Portland, Oregon, Sara and Ben are parents of a toddler boy and are expecting their second child this summer. They opened the shop four years ago, after graduating from art school and being unable to find jobs. Sara says that when they first started out she was ashamed that she couldn’t find a “real” job, but now she cringes at the idea of a typical 9-to-5 gig. Running their own business has been “liberating and fulfilling.”
