Not just a little thirsty either. More like an I could drink a lake right now sort of thirsty.
The worst part about it? I’m terrible at drinking enough fluids throughout the day. It’s not that I don’t know I’m thirsty and should be drinking more water, it’s just that I don’t really think about it during the day. Next thing I know, the day is over and my coffee intake has far outweighed my water intake. And I’m really not drinking that much coffee at this point.
During my pregnancy I wrote about smart phone apps that will help you track—and remember—your water consumption throughout the day. I never picked one to put on my phone. When I was pregnant I remembered to drink plenty of water. I think the fact that it was summer and I was huge helped with that.
Now the weather is cooling off and I’m back to doing a terrible job at getting in those eight glasses a day.
I’m not sure how effective installing one of those apps would be for me either. I suppose it wouldn’t hurt to try, but what I really need is a surefire way to get me to drink more water. I need a method that will become part of my daily life and not a task I’ve completely failed to accomplish at the end of each day.
