Just when you thought there was an app for everything out there… I found a ton of awesome breastfeeding app’s online, and on iTunes store. I can’t say I was completely shocked though!
Originally I simply wanted something that I could see if any medications would impact my daughter at all, because in the days and weeks after she was born between pain management post cesarean, and birth control… I wanted to be able to ease my mind.
Well, I found a ton of cool apps! From milk storage apps, to apps that simply remind you what breast you used last, there is no shortage of breastfeeding apps. And the highlight of most of the apps besides having a great benefit to a breastfeeding mother is the fact that they are free!
Yes, a free app!

LactMed 1 of 7
LactMed is probably my favorite breastfeeding app! It is a great resource for medications, and seeing what you can and cannot take while you are breastfeeding!
Breast Feeding Friend 2 of 7
The breast feeding friend app helps moms who are completely forgetful like I am to remember which breast to use next, or even time your feedings!
iBreastfeed 3 of 7
The iBreastfeed app by Medela is another awesome one that helps you to succeed at breastfeeding! It helps with sharing the benefits of breastfeeding, breast milk storage guidelines, and you can track progress and activities for up to six babies.
Breast Milk Calculator 4 of 7
Ever wonder how much breast milk your baby is getting? This app made by a pediatric nurse practitioner was developed to aid parents not only knowing how much their baby is eating, but how much to leave for a sitter if you ever need one! This is a huge favorite for me because I always wonder how much Addie is really getting!
Express Milk Log 5 of 7
Another one I love, especially if you have a need to pump and store milk. This helps you to keep a great record of your pumped milk so you know when you must use it, or when you are running out of pumped breast milk!
Baby Brain: Your Baby Log 6 of 7
While there are a lot of great baby logs out there, and sometimes I find them totally unnecessary, I like this one because it is clean, simple, and easy to navigate. It holds unlimited data, emails forms which are easy to read, and breaks stats down daily.
Breastfeeding Management 2 7 of 7
Developed by the Massachusetts breastfeeding coalition helps to aid with common breastfeeding problems in the first weeks of life. Something a lot of moms have big issues with! It is a must have for all new moms, even if they have successfully breastfed before!
