You are two months old now. I don’t know where the time has gone. Oh wait, that’s right — it’s been in a haze of newborn-ness. No worries, that time we spent together at 4 a.m. for so many of the last eight weeks has meant so much to me. But I am happy to say, we’ve not had to share any late-night feedings for the last week, and as much as I love you — your mom likes her sleep.
As an eight-week-old, your milestone have started. We experienced your smile at six weeks. You have this coo that melts our hearts. That head of yours is holding itself up high and not so wobbly.
Another impressive thing that’s happened with your existence is the lessons you have taught us. Who knew a little baby could teach so many lessons?
- Work life balance is key — so after 10 years, I quit my job and am starting a new career.
- Perfection is not necessary. Hence your two-month photo. (see above photo)
- Four kids really do make you a laid-back parent.
- God is good (even better than we thought!).
Each day, I chronicle your quickly growing cuteness on Instagram. Your Daddy proclaimed, “He’s getting cute!” this week. Not that you weren’t cute before, but he appreciates hair, eyelashes and eyebrows on babies, all of which have really started growing on you.
Know that we love you. You are so sweet. Please, please and pretty please stay that way.
