Where did all the time go?

This month Addie will be nine months old… NINE!

Where did time go?

It seems like yesterday she was this little tiny baby in my arms at the hospital and now I am looking for birthday party ideas for her oh so very special first birthday party.

Pinterest is probably the best resource ever for looking for theme ideas, but the problem now is — I have half dozen ideas and am torn!

This is where I need your help. I have too many ideas that I am in love with and I need you guys to help me pick one!

Comment below with your favorite birthday party theme for a baby girls first birthday party!

Teddy Bear Picnic

A teddy bear picnic was one of the first birthday parties I ever went to when I was a little girl. I love the idea of it, and there are so many different cute and creative ways to take it. I love this blog post showing what one mom did for her daughters 2nd birthday party with teddy bears!

I love the owl theme! Especially since that is her “thing”. I think I’m going to do a garden theme for my daughter’s 1st birthday, who will be 1 on May 1st. Her “thing” has been bee’s, so I want to do lots of flowers and bees!!

April- butterflies, flowers. All things spring!

I love the owl theme, or the tea party (maybe cause it’s a very British thing :-) )

I love the Teddy Bears Picnic (which I might use for my daughter when she’s a little older) and Minnie Mouse themes.

My daughter’s 1st birthday is in June, and I have also started looking at themes (June is a very busy month for our family with 7 birthdays in our close family, so we had to pick our party date early!). Our top runner is a “Sweets and Treats” cupcake/candy theme using hot pink/lime green accents. There’s so much cute stuff out there!

I’m thinking about doing a 1st birthday “brought to you by the number 1″ – you could do a birthday party “brought to you by the letter A” and do all A stuff (apples, argyle, armadillos!)

  6. Maybe an indoor playspace party, where the kids can roam around and climb.

I like all those parties, but I think most of them would be better for later birthdays when baby can be more “into” the theme. Like a tea party. Can you have a tea party with a 1-year-old? Would you even give them tea? Save it for the 3rd birthday or something. I like the simple ones for the 1st – pink sparkles, teddy bears, or owls.

I have a boy.. lol and his first birthday we are doing Mickey Mouse, however, as a baby.

I LOVE Alice In Wonderland, but I would hold that one off until she is older.

    Good luck! :)

Our little girls must be close in age! My Annaleigh will be a year old on April 22nd. Since that’s also earth day, I’m thinking about an Earth day birthday theme. I haven’t worked out all the details yet, but I know I want the favors to be either seed packets or herb plants. You’re ideas are all super cute, but I think I like the owl theme the best. Good luck with your decision!

My little angel turned one in January and i found a really cute Minnie Mouse 1st birthday theme. It’s light pink with baby Minnie and the number one. You can even get table confetti and they are a mixed bag of baby Minnie’s, cup cakes, #1, and the words look who’s turning 1….There’s also a lot of cute little add on pieces that just help pull everything together….There’s a bunch of different discount websites i just goggled Minnie Mouse 1st birthday and found a ton of resources….. I think Minnie Mouse is perfect for a 1st bday and tea party one’s would be great for when they are older and they can actually play tea party and bring the theme alive

love the strawberry shortcake theme, but I have the bias of having loved the character since childhood. The teddy bear picnic idea is cute. My son is 11 month’s old and I was thinking of doing Elmo for his party.
