Even If You Could Balance a 24-Pound Baby in Your Palm, Would You? (VIDEO)

Behold Leopold

There's a reason there are no babies in the circus

There are lots of things you can do with little babies, like dress them up in funny yet inappropriate onesies or talk about them like they’re not there because they won’t understand you anyway. That doesn’t always, or even ever, make it right, however.

A 24-week-old baby named Leopold is on the larger side, weighing in at 24-pounds. Apparently his dad is really strong and can balance a standing-Leopold in his palm. I guess it’s kind of funny or amusing or neat or something. But it’s also kind of not. Because, really, it would just be horribly sad if Leopold actually fell.

Am I being overly sensitive, or does this just seem not right to you, too? Watch the video and decide:

Leo is adorable! And Dad seemed perfectly in control. I don’t see any problem with this at all. There’s probably just as much risk of throwing your happy baby into the air.

  2. Liz says:

Dad seemed perfectly in control. I don’t think this is any more dangerous than carrying a baby up the stairs or many other daily parenting tasks, probably less so because dad was being so aware and careful. If baby would have started to loose his balance in the least, dad would have certainly grabbed him immediately. Cute video. In fear of sounding ignorant, haters gonna hate!

  3. Brooke says:

Yep, I have to agree with the previous two posters. Dad looks to be in control and little Leo was enjoying every minute of. Adorable, IMHO!

  4. Haley says:

Honestly, the overfeeding is probably what’s going to get the kid in the long run (kidding, he’s adorable).

  5. Heidi says:

My BIL used to do this with his kids, and he would try with mine, only mine never held still long enough to get it done. I never really liked it, but he never dropped a baby and they seemed to enjoy it. This doesn’t bother me that much, what gets me is the “baby yoga” lady. She scares the s#$t out of me! This guy seems to be totally focused on the baby.

Leo is a cutie!! And I don’t see nothing wrong with it either, really babies take falls all the time when learning to crawl or walk and you can’t always prevent it. But yeah Dad seem like he got this. People should quit being so harsh on other people’s parenting and their choice to fun with their baby. Now days, someone, somewhere, has a problem with everything!!! But I say go baby leo!!! :)

Leopold is making a movie and needs your help!
