I never wanted to lose my sense of fashion when I became a mother. It’s so easy to use the “I’m busy with the kids” excuse to dress in sweats all day. But I wanted to go against that and keep up to date on the latest fashion trends.
As a nursing mother, buying clothes is a little bit harder because you have to make sure that they make breastfeeding easy and accessible for you and the baby. Nursing tanks have quickly become a staple in my wardrobe. They are great for wearing around the house, to bed at night, and they are also wonderful as a simple layer under a dress or other shirt. They make nursing so easy (especially when I am out and about) and still in style. But now nursing is going to get a little bit more stylish.
Design icon, Rebecca Minkoff has teamed up with Bravado Designs, a company known for their great nursing attire. Minkoff, a new mom, has designed a Limited Edition Collection of nursing tanks that will be released in September 2012 to benefit Jessica Seinfeld’s non-profit organization, Baby Buggy.
Minkoff, who is also a nursing mother, wanted to show her support to both nursing mothers and the community, “I am thrilled to be a part of this exciting project with Bravado and Baby Buggy; two organizations that tirelessly donate their time to providing support to families in need. As a new mom myself who benefited from the support of both Bravado products and an encouraging community, I know how important it is to have the proper support and tools when nursing. I am truly honored to be a part of this collaboration and welcome the opportunity by contributing to help new mothers on their journey.”
A portion of the proceeds from the nursing tanks will be given to Baby Buggy, a non-profit organization that provides families in need across the country with essential equipment, products, clothing, and educational services for their infants and children ages 0-12. Not only that, but Bravado Designs will also donate a new bra or tank to a mother in need for each Limited Edition tank purchased.
I am so excited to be able to attend the launch party for these amazing nursing tanks designed by Rebecca Minkoff. Stayed tuned later in the month of September for an exclusive recap of the event as well as pictures of the two amazing nursing tanks designed by Minkoff herself!
