Fern's Fashion Wish List: 9 Style Must-Haves for Baby GirlsLauren Hartmann
When I was younger I used to shop for clothes on a whim. I would be out and about and just buy something because I thought it was cute without thinking of how it would fit in with the items already in my closet or whether or not I really needed it. As a result I ended up having a mish mash of clothes and no definable style.
Now, I keep a running list of clothing items that I would like to acquire on a wish list in my phone. That doesn’t mean that I end up purchasing all these items, but it gives me a bit of direction so that I don’t end up buying random pieces. Sometimes the items on the list are specific brands (i.e. an American Apparel scarf) and other times it’s simply a general item (i.e. black slouchy sweater).
This system has worked really well for me and I’ve even started doing it for Fern, since it can be really easy to buy way too many baby clothes if I’m not careful.
Here are a few items on Fern’s current fashion wish list…
Navajo Sweatshirt 1 of 9I'm seriously obsessed with Munkstown. I just discovered them and I'm smitten. Great gender neutral clothing options for kids. I'm head over heels for this awesome tribal crewneck - I wish it came in adult size, although it's probably best that it doesn't, because I might not be able to resist having a mother-daughter matching moment.
Purchase for $30.00 from Munkstown
ever/after Cinchback Tank 2 of 9I'm not big on pink, but this is the most perfectly soft shade of pink ever and I love the cut of this tank. It would be cute for summer, but also great now if it was paired with a cardigan and a cute scarf.
Purchase for $28.00 from Fawn & Forest
Baby Raglan Hoodie Sweatshirt with Buttons 3 of 9Fern actually already had one of these hoodies in red, but her wardrobe is calling for another, perhaps in stripes. These handmade hoodies come in a TON of colors though, so there are plenty of options. This is seriously my favorite sweatshirt though - so cozy and fits like a dream.
Purchase for $34.99 from childHOODS Munkstown
Freshly Picked Mocassins 4 of 9Fern received a pair of these Freshly Picked mocs as a birthday gift from a friend and now I want them in every color - they're SO buttery soft and super cute. I am particularly fond of the yellow and gold ones.
Purchase for $60.00 from Freshly Picked
Mountain Twirling Dress 5 of 9The graphic prints from Thief & Bandit are so spot on and I love the bold graphics paired with the sweetness of this twirling, little dress. I'm pretty sure if Fern knew how to twirl just yet this would be at the top of her wish list.
Purchase for $48.00 from Thief & Bandit
Stalactite Leggings 6 of 9Another awesome Thief & Bandit item on the wish list - the pattern and color combo on these is fantastic!
Purchase for $40.00 from Thief & Bandit
Hello Hi 3/4 Sleeve Raglan 7 of 9This adorable little baseball-T has cute graphics, and while it starts at size 2T, it would make a perfect tunic with leggings, which is one of my favorite outfit combinations for baby girls.
Purchase for $22.00 from Hello Hi Apparel
Striped Terry Dress 8 of 9A navy and white striped, boatneck shift dress is an absolute classic that is definitely missing from Fern's wardrobe. I think this needs to be remedied.
Purchase for $22.95 from Gap
Apron Pinnie 9 of 9This is super sweet and actually probably a little more sweet than the items I am typically drawn to for Fern, but I love that it has a vintage feel. I can just see her wearing this at the lake near our house as the warmer days approach.
Purchase for $34.00 from Mini Boden
