I'm still trying to claim he looks like me...

Eight weeks ago tonight, I was laying in a hospital bed with a little scrunchy face staring back up at me.  I remember our time in the hospital like it was yesterday, and I truly cannot believe that almost two months have passed since then.

There have been tough days, but there have been far more good days, and every day I feel so ridiculously lucky to call this baby mine.

Below is a quick look back through his first 8 weeks – he has changed so much since his birthday…

    Birthday!
He arrived 6 days late and after a long, tough labor. I feel in love with him immediately.

He didn't do much that first week other than sleep, eat, and get passed around between grandparents. I had to fight to hold him myself!
  • 2 Weeks 3 of 9

This was our first week on our own without family in town, and he went from being a sleepy newborn to much more alert and expressive!
  • 3 Weeks 4 of 9
    3 Weeks
I think week 3 was our toughest to date. This was the week that made me think we might be in for weeks or months of colic and crying.
  • 4 Weeks 5 of 9
    4 Weeks
Luckily, things calmed down during week four, and we all got a bit more rest.
  • 5 Weeks 6 of 9

During Thanksgiving week, we started getting big goofy smiles. They are the highlight of each of my days.
  • 6 Weeks 7 of 9
    6 Weeks
My happy baby smiles at me all day long, and I can't get enough of it!
  • 7 Weeks 8 of 9
    7 Weeks
I suddenly realized that my little boy was growing up so quickly. He looks so big in his cute little baseball cap!
  • 8 Weeks 9 of 9

Today! It has been the best 8 weeks of my life, and I can't wait to see what comes next...
