GIVEAWAY: Bebe Au Lait Nursing Cover!

By EmilyBMalone |

Win a nursing cover from Bebe au Lait!

Back when I was pregnant, and even in the early days of breastfeeding, I kind of scoffed at the whole “nursing cover” concept.  I assumed it was just one more of those things that stores make you think you absolutely need or your baby will die, but in reality is probably useless.  Why can’t I just toss a blanket of my shoulder?  Same thing, right?

For the first few weeks of breastfeeding, the blanket trick worked just fine.  Cullen nursed peacefully like a little angel and didn’t even notice what was happening.  Well my little angel has grown to four months old now, and the days of peaceful nursing are long over.  He grabs and pulls on anything near him these days, including any blankets draped discretely over my exposed boobs.

Ahhhh, so THAT’S what those nursing covers are for.  Find out how to win one for yourself!

I was lucky enough to be sent a nursing cover from Bebe au Lait, just in time for my vacation to Hawaii.  I quickly discovered that having a nursing cover makes nursing in public so much easier and more convenient.

Cullen still flailed and grabbed at the fabric, but because of the flexible neckline he was less bothered by it since he was able to see my face.  It helped me to be able to look down and make sure he was latched okay, and to reassure him with smiles as I did my best not to flash a boob to anyone who passed.

Now that I have the nursing cover, I feel much more comfortable and confident nursing out of my house.  Thank you Bebe au Lait for this great product, and great opportunity!

Now it’s your turn to win one of your own…

I give these away as gifts to every pregnant woman I know and they are always a HUGE hit yielding an email call or text to me shortly after the birth.

  24. Leslie says:

Would love one of these. We’ve been using a piece of fabric that doesn’t have any structure and she really doesn’t like it.

  25. Jennifer says:

I am due with my first little one, a boy, in April and would love love love to have one of these. Money has been pretty tight lately and with all the other expenses we have had to spend recently for his arrival winning this would be a relief so I do not have to purchase another item. I hope I win =)

  26. Stacey says:

I have thought many times to buy a cover like this, but just have never done it. I would love to actually have one!

  27. Yomama says:

Am I the only one who thinks these nursing covers are silly? Why should we have to cover up just to feed our babies? I nursed whenever and wherever I wanted..and I’m totally not one of those crunchy, hippy, boob-hanging out mamas–I just felt like covering my baby was disrespectful to her. More moms should nurse out in the open, to get the public used to breasts being used for what they were designed for–feeding babies!

  28. Jess V says:

We have had the same issue with our four month old and the pulling, grasping. Many people at a busy mall have seen entirely too much of me!

  29. Christina says:

Expecting in October! This would be great!

I was thinking I wouldn’t need one, but you convinced me otherwise!

  36. Linda says:

Can’t agree more… my 4 month old wants to gab everything in sight – makes for a tough time to feed him anywhere other than my house.

  37. Ann says:

I’ve been doing the discreet blanket draping, too I agree it’s tough when I can’t see his face, so this would be a great option!

  38. Andrea says:

We’re going to California in May and it’ll be our baby daughter’s first airplane ride! I’ll need something like this to feed her mid-flight :)

  39. Mama Bear says:

I could use one for the plane.

  40. Jennifer C. says:

I love everything from Bebe Au Lait – they have the most beautiful fabrics and the “hooter hiders” are a hoot!

  41. Doris says:

I wish I could win this!

  42. Eric says:

With that,my wife would be more comfortable nursing when we go out.

  43. chantelle says:

Had a difficult delivery (forceps followed by him straining my tailbone and losing half my blood volume) and he still flails when he nurses..having this would help so much!!

  44. Stephanie says:

That is the EXACT nursing cover I registered for over on Amazon. Love the color!

  45. Cherise says:

This is something I just discovered is a necessity… thoughts like, ‘Yeah I don’t need one of THOSE *insert eye roll here*” followed weeks later by “Crap! I think I just flashed our pastor!” True story! As I type this one-handed while feeding my son I think, “Why in the heck could you not eat like this last night at our church potluck??” I have one of those latch-on clips that are supposed to make any blanket into a nursing cover… yeah they don’t work so well when you’re trying to multi-task and eat dinner yourself while also attempting to sate the palate of a flailing 3-month old!

  46. Samantha Hartley says:

Love how adorable this nursing cover is. I have twins and all of the nursing covers I have tried are too small to keep both babies under-wraps. This one looks large enough to do just that. I would love to give it a try!

  47. Kelsey says:

    that pattern is so cute!

  48. Jodi says:

I LOVE my Bebe Au Lait nursing cover and get so many compliments on the black and white damask fabric. It’s an amazing cover unlike any other and believe me I’ve tried others. This one works the best. I recommend getting 2 because you will need a clean one on hand when the other gets dirty.

  49. Daneilia says:

I loved nursing my daughter and hope to do that with our next child in the future.

  50. Mal says:

I have been doing my registry and wondering if I needed one of these!

  51. Anita Kvasnak says:

Boobie hiders are great!! Hope that I can win one. Good luck to everyone!

  52. Brandie King says:

I need this!! I had one with my daughter and accidentally put it in the dryer and melted the boning. I have to get a new one for my daughter I expect in June!

  53. Abi Huber says:

I’m a person who hated nursing in public because I’m so private. Having a nursing cover big enough to cover me would be wonderful!

  54. Chelsea says:

What an amazing product! I love learnin about stuff like this as I prepare to welcome my little one :) thank you!!!!
