Hot Pink Mess

Cupcake Dreaming

The Anticipation!

We had a low-key night at home to celebrate Abby’s official birthday last-night.

I say official because as you may know, we had a big party for her last weekend. Which was lovely, but she really wasn’t 1 yet then, was she?

So.

What’s a momma to do? Ignore the actual day? I say not. The day was a crazy one, full of work and then more work. I had grand ideas of baking cupcakes for her. That didn’t happen. I’ve been lucky if I can find the time to wash the sleep from my eyes this week.

You all may or may not know that I love to bake. However, Martha Stewart I am not. I struggle just like any other momma to get it all done on a ‘regular’ day, never mind the special ones. So after a quick jaunt to the grocery store we ended up with hot pink cupcakes.

Which was fine, and no one was the wiser. Except me. I  had visions of the epic strawberry shortcake I made for her on the weekend to cling to. I’m pretty sure Abby was more happy to be mucking about in the icing like it were paint, rather than eat it anyways. What do you think?

Owning The Cupcake

I know, right?

Little diva. May she always muck about in her icing.
