Well — there is another reason I love my DVR from DISH. It saves me time. How you ask?
As a mom of 5, who is blogging daily for Babble, and running my own business, cupcakeMAG, I hardly have anytime to do anything for myself ever. And that means watching the telly. With DISH, I am able to not just keep up-to-date with all of my favorite shows via my DVR but I save time by skipping commercials. How amazing is that? Honestly, even if I had the time to watch television I probably wouldn’t. I would rather let the DVR do the work for me so I can easily skip them. Sometimes commercials are a good 15 minutes of the show! So, any chance I get to save time – I’m all about it!
We can clearly thank technology for this one and DISH too.
I tell my littles all the time how lucky they are that they can skip the commercials. My 9-year-old is constantly worrying about how much space if left on the DVR and did her show record while she was at school since she had to go to bed early last night. Did the re-run record Mom? Oh yes, she loves the DVR as much as I do. And to think, at one point, we rushed home to catch our favorite show and we had no choice but to sit through every single commercial. There was no pausing the TV so we could jump into bed from the living room to finish the show. There was no recording Price is Right while I was at school. I only caught that show when I was home sick. I wonder what she would do without the DVR. Hmm…I wonder. But for now I am happy that I have a television assistant I can lean on for our busy lifestyle.
