A quick follow-up from the 15 Tips for Flying with Babies post. Reader Meagan left the following comment:
I’ve got a five hour flight with a 7 month old coming up in January. NOT looking forward to it. I’m planning to buy some baby headphones for him (I’ve seen some that size down to a year, and he’s big) and will have either a DROID tablet or an ipad. My biggest worry is changing a diaper during the long flight, and using the restroom myself. Seriously… how? Did I mention I’m flying ALONE?
So leave it to YouTube to have a brilliant video on the various options for what to do when you need to change a diaper in an airplane.
An overview of your options:
- On an empty seat
- In the airplane lavatory
- In the aisle
- On your lap
With the babies we have flown with – we’ve only had to change 1 diaper mid-air flight. We did it in the seat on my lap. Not something that I care to do again, but if you have to – you have to!
