I Refuse to Use Public Changing Tables

Learn why this mom refuses to use public changing tables.

Learn why this mom refuses to use public changing tables.

Babies poop and pee and unfortunately it’s on their own time. There’s no schedule, it can and will happen whenever and wherever. This is only human, but it tends to cause problems for me because see  - I refuse to use public changing tables.

I have 2 little ones in diapers.  That’s a whole lotta booty wiping – and we are people who are on the go. I haven’t always totally refused public changing tables, but after learning how many gross things changing tables can be used for – I swore public changing tables no more!

So what’s a mom to do when out and about?

You create a portable changing station. Well that’s at least what I did.

Changing diapers in the back of the car is our norm.

Changing diapers in the back of the car is our norm.

The back of my SUV is now a changing station. Changing pad, wipes and diapers are a permanent fixture in the back of our vehicle. It’s still not completely sanitary (do you see my OCD coming out?)

Can you tell we haven’t yet traveled by air with are current 2 little ones? I am sure this freak out of mine will have it’s limitations, but for now – my babies’ booties won’t be on changing tables.

Disclaimer: I wish this OCD clean thing would spread to things like me wanting a clean house – etc. etc. but nope, it hasn’t.

A big thanks to Huggies for sponsoring this campaign. Click here to see more of the discussion.
