My oldest daughter is obsessed with the Disney Channel. She’s watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse as I write this. We introduced her to Mickey Mouse and Disney from an early age. We lived only an hour from Orlando when we were living in Tampa and she made her very first trip to Disney World at just 6 weeks old. She was born to love every single Disney Character.
Now that we aren’t so close to the “happiest place on earth” we try to fulfill her Disney love with her favorite shows and two new free apps from Disney Junior. Harlan is a bit attached to the beloved ipad in our house. Although I try not to have her on it too much, it is the perfect entertainment when I need to put all of my attention on Avery. I am always on the lookout for new apps for her, but never want to spend money on them because most of the time her attention span is very minimal.
When Disney Junior announced the launch of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Road Rally Appisode and Jake’s Never Land Pirate School App, I downloaded them right away. I knew that Harlan would love them because it allowed her to interact with some of her favorite Disney characters, and best of all, the apps were free!
Both are now her go-to apps when she has the iPad. I’ve even downloaded Jake’s Never Land Pirate School App on my iPhone for those times I don’t have the iPad on the go with us.
The apps are not only entertaining, but they are educational. They teach problem solving skills and numbers. The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Road Rally Appisode is an entire interactive Mickey Mouse Clubhouse where Mickey talks to you and you have to respond.
If you have a little one in the house, you must download these apps. They are great when you just need a second to yourself and still want to keep the little one entertained and learning! Both apps are available in the app store!
If your little one wants even more of their favorite Disney characters, Disney Junior is now available all the time! Disney Junior WATCH makes full length episodes of its popular shows available online at www.watchdisneyjunior.com and via the FREE (another great freebie) Disney Junior WATCH app on iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. Comcast Xfinity subscribers have access to premiere content, including a live feed of the network online and through the app. After the live feed, current shows will be available “on demand”. Perfect if you’re in the middle of a show and need to run out to do errands. No complaints from the kids that they’ll miss the end of their show. Or perhaps there are several kids in a family who like different programs. One can watch on the TV, while the other watches on their favorite device. Missed their favorite show? They’ll have up to 10 days to catch up on WATCH! Disney Junior Fans who aren’t on Comcast can contact their cable provider to ask for the service via the website or the app.
Join us, TODAY, August 8th at 9 PM EST for a Disney Junior Twitter party! You could win an iPad. RSVP at http://bit.ly/QsXDE2 and use the hashtags #spon and #mackidtips
