Introducing Hiccup E-bowski

Hiccup E-bowski

The husband and I have called Little Bean “hiccup” since day 1. He still has hiccup episodes now and then, but in his first few months the frequency of them was unbelievable.

His hiccups have diminished now that he’s 5 months, but his personality is shining through and let me tell you, Little Bean is CHILL. His demeanor is more than just happy, he has an aura of contentment and it’s HIGHLY contagious. I often joke that it’s impossible to be mad around him. Being in his presence just relaxes me and I’m not the only one to notice. As my husband likes to say, “he is ‘The Dude‘.”

Which brings us to… The Big Lebowski.

If you haven’t seen it, The Big Lebowski is a 90s movie about Jeff “The Dude” Lebowski, a laid back slacker who gets mistaken for another Jeff Lebowski. Now, before you make fun of me for nicknaming my infant son after an unemployed pot smoker, our inspiration comes more from his easygoing attitude and demeanor than anything else.

As we were joking about this, the Husband blurts out E-bowski. If you didn’t know, Little Bean’s name is actually Evan and we love just calling him “E”.

String all this craziness together and you get…

Hiccup E-bowski

That’s Little Bean’s new “personality” based name. Hiccuping isn’t quite a personality trait, but it works in this context and we have a good laugh about it.

Does your baby have any nick-namable personality traits?
