Jessica Alba Launches "Honest"

Ever wished for diapers to arrive magically on your doorstep?

Well, Amazon Mom already thought of that one—minus the magic part. But ever wanted the eco-friendly, plant-based disposable kind delivered to your home on a monthly basis … and at a reasonable price? Or what about non-toxic bath and household cleaning products, also sent straight to you?

Now that’s an idea.

Jessica Alba’s latest “baby” is The Honest Company: a direct-to-you subscription service for parents wanting to go (more) green. Alba, The Honest Company’s founder, has partnered up with Chrisopher Gavigan, author of “Healthy Child Healthy World,” to “help moms and to give all children a better, safer start,” as Alba says.

So, how? In a nutshell: You can sign up for a monthly supply of Honest Company’s plant-based diapers and/or “Family Essentials” (everything from chemically-safe shampoo and conditioner to hand sanitizer and dish detergent). All this, and it’s designed to be affordable. Check out the price comparison table here. The site touts diapers and wipes for less than $20 each week.

What do you think? Would you try it out? I think I’m going to sign up for a free trial, and report back.
