My 3rd Mother’s Day In Pictures

By Selena Mae |

Truth? The Mother’s Day party we had the night before left me feeling pretty rugged on the actual day. A rarity these days, tantalizing and bittersweet are those moments that I get (or want to) , get a little wild with my tribe.

It was a perfect weekend of tom foolery, Greek food from scratch, baby and big kid love, mother-love, cuddle-fests, movie-time, lazing about, being waited on, sleepovers and shenanigans. Tears and moments that teetered. Because after a few glasses of wine, I brought up the recent TIME cover extravaganza.

Oh boy. All I will say about that is TIME, bravo and ladies – for all of our differing (and similar), opinions, I would not have you any other way. As for my Mother’s Day? The manling won all the prizes without even reading this. Sort of. It was head hazy, sunny, deliciously warm and love-dipped divine. Slider after the jump.

Mother's Day 2012: Mine, Not Yours

Wagon Walks

Much like wagon rides, except I'm the one doing the pulling. Still, when the sun is shining and the baby girl is not trying to dump herself out in the middle of an intersection - this is a nice activity to do the night before Mother's Day. Or anytime, really.

So. How was YOUR Mother’s Day? Was it your first, or have you already been around the day of worship several times?

  1. Meg says:

It was my first Mother’s day, and it was simple, wonderful and – best of all – relaxing! Maybe next year we’ll attempt brunch!
