Avery turned nine months old yesterday! She is getting bigger and more advanced by the day! Her vocabulary this month has flourished. She now says, “hi,” “bye,” “mama,” “dada,” and “no.” Not too pleased about the last one (she shakes her head along with it) but I am thrilled that she is so vocal all of the time. She loves to copy sounds you make and will raise her voice to get your attention. Her big sister, Harlan, was very talkative too (and still is) so I have a feeling these two girls on going to get along very well!
This month went by so quickly that I realized I didn’t capture as many moments as I usually do. Although I don’t have a ton of photos this month of Avery, there were plenty that I did get that were wonderful moments. Check out my favorites from her ninth month!
Kisses from Big Sister 1 of 8I've really seen Avery start to seek out Harlan this month. She wants to interact with her so much more now, where as it used to be the other way around. You can really see the genuine love for each other in this photo.
Thanksgiving Meal 2 of 8Avery had her very first Thanksgiving this month and was old enough to enjoy the meal. I chopped up some turkey pieces for her and gave them to her (this was her first time eating meat) and she scarfed them down. She had leftovers with us for the days following and loved it much more than any of us did!
She’s Found Her Voice 3 of 8I had to put a gate up to keep the girls out of the kitchen. They both love to stand and watch me while I cook dinner. Avery loves to stand there and just scream. She's finally realized that she has a voice that will get her noticed and she sure does use it!
Breakfast with Mommy 4 of 8We finally put Avery with us at the table and she absolutely loves being involved in family dinners. She and I have a morning routine that we sit together at the table and eat breakfast. It's such a fun time for us to bond and laugh with one another in those bright and early morning hours.
She’s Standing 5 of 8Avery is now officially standing. She will do it for about a minute before she realizes that she's not holding onto anything and starts to get scared.
Cold Weather Fun 6 of 8The weather is starting to get cold here in NYC and we are loving going out in the city and enjoying it. The city is so beautiful during the holiday season and I want Avery to get to experience all of it.
Kisses 7 of 8Avery has finally learned how to give kisses when you ask her for one. Although she usually gives wet slobbery ones on the lips, sometimes she gets confused. Here she is supposed to be giving me a kiss, but instead is attacking my face.
First Show 8 of 8We took the family to see Yo Gabba Gabba last weekend and it was Avery's first ever show. She was an angel during the entire thing. She laughed, danced, and smiled along throughout the entire thing!
