Before having a baby fashion and getting dressed was all fun and games. I wore what I felt like on a particular day and I tried out new trends with wile abandon. After having a baby? Well…let’s just say it’s a little less fun and a little more work.
Aside from the fact that things just don’t fit my body the way they used to, I also have to also take practical concerns into consideration now (i.e. nursing accessibility, comfort for carrying around a baby all day, etc.).
Knowing what works for me, my body and my daily life has helped getting dressed to become a whole lot easier though. My wardrobe may be a little more boring, but it’s cute and practical and it works for my stage in life. Once Fern is weaned though, it’s all zip-up dresses and corsets!
