We can tell you that a Mom’s first Mother’s Day is truly special and absolutely worth celebrating. And, we believe that you don’t have to spend a lot of money to make it a great and memorable experience for the new mom.
With Mom’s time now at a premium, why not offer up a few hours of free babysitting to let Mom grab a coffee with Dad, get her nails done, or what the heck, sleep in!
Another great thing you can do for your friend is help her by bringing over a ready-made meal. It’s one less thing for her to have to think about and prepare, and might just give her the down time she so craves.
If you’d prefer to get out your wallet, a gift certificate to the spa, the movies, or to get her house cleaned—yes, that exists!—would be much appreciated.
Sometimes the best gifts are the ones that remind her how special her new title really is. Everything from mom-centered jewelry (e.g. a necklace with the baby’s name or initials on it from Bel Kai Designs or Heart and Stone), to a fabulous summer diaper bag (from Danielle Elizabeth to Storksak, there are some gorgeous options available), to a memory book that will help to mark this special “first.” We know that whatever you come up with, the fact that you remembered your friends first Mother’s Day at all, is gift enough.
