Nursing Bras Blow

I really do love nursing. I think if Tate doesn’t self wean, I will be nursing him until at least 18 months. When I think about that, there is one thing that really depresses me. The thought of wearing a crappy, ill-fitting, awkward nursing bra for another year makes me almost angry. Because nursing bras are terrible. It’s difficult to find them in the right size (are there women who can find any bra in their size?) or with good support. Very few are carried in stores, so you have to order them online without having a chance to try them on.

I did buy a more structured nursing bra, but I stopped wearing it. The molded cup required folding and rolling to nurse Tate, which was incredibly awkward. Also now that my milk supply has settled down, the bra is too big.

Earlier this week, I had the opportunity to go out on my own and left Tate with Steve. At the last minute, I decided to change my bra to a non-nursing option. This is the first time I have done that in 5 months, and let me tell you, it was incredible. I felt more attractive than I have in such a long time.

I am considering ordering this option from Asos. It is well reviewed, simple, and under $30. (And also because Asos offers free shipping and returns on all orders.)

What’s your favorite nursing bra? I need advice ladies!
