Pastor’s “Boob Job Rule” Video on Questioning Adoptive Families Has Gone Viral

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KeT3c9TmxLE

My inbox is full of messages asking “Have you seen it?!” It’s been sent to me via Twitter, Facebook, Gmail, my blog, phone calls, and plain old chatting face-to-face. And once Kristen from Rage Against the Minivan posted, it was everywhere. “It” being the above “boob job” rule video a la “If you wouldn’t say it about a boob job … don’t say it about an adoptive family.” Turns out, this is a handy test created by Jesse Butterworth, pastor in Bellevue, Washington.

Personally, I don’t mind the questions. I’m not one myself for elegant language. However, as my daughters grow older, the questions are going to be an issue. I really like how Jesse provides replacement statements for those struggling for the right words. It’s well done!
