Do you ever have a month that is absolutely so jammed pack that you literally feel like everyday is a race? That you’re so busy you forget to pull out your camera (even if it’s just a smart phone) for days on end?
That’s exactly what August 2012 was like for me.
So busy and so overwhelming, I hardly took any photos.
I went to NYC for a long weekend. Summer break ended and the big kids started back up with school. We had lots of out of town visitors, and Paul spent the majority of the month teething, whic no doubt about it, totally kicked my butt.
Because of the rush, rush, rush of life, I shamefully didn’t capture too many good snapshots of Paul. Only just a few are even worth sharing.
Paul’s 7th month in snapshots:
Highchair Puff Butt 1 of 7I really thought for a minute Paul was eating his little baby puffs. He was, in fact, just flattening them out and storing them on his butt.
My Bookends 2 of 7The firstborn, and the last-born. I can tell already they have a special bond and connection.
Daddy Duty 3 of 7Over the course of a two week period, we hit the Indiana State Fair no less than four times.
Blending 4 of 7This photo says it all. Paul is such an easy baby, he really does blend in to our family so very well.
Nom, Nom, Nom. 5 of 7The month was the month that Paul started teething hard core. If it's in his reach, it goes straight to the mouth.
Ouchie Mouthie. 6 of 7Because of the teeth, Paul spent the majority of his August in tears with a sad face.
Hold Me More! 7 of 7And again, almost ever shot I have of Paul from August is him in tears. Such a sad month to be a baby. Hold me more! No, don't hold me at all! I need a nap! No, I refuse to nap!
I’m excited it’s finally September, hopefully it will be more relaxing and enjoyable than August. Bring on football, cooler weather, and stock pots full of soup. It’s almost fall, and I couldn’t be happier.
Take a look back at where it all began:
