“A finger can get caught in the opening formed when locking and unlocking the hinge mechanism used to adjust the handlebars on the strollers. This presents an amputation and laceration hazard,” according to a press release.
There have been five reported injuries involving the hinge mechanism, including three children whose fingertips were “amputated, and two adults whose fingers were either crushed or cut.”
The recall involves about 36,000 strollers sold in the United States, and 270 in Canada.
