Ring in 2013 with a little Sparkle and Shine!

NYE Sparkle and Shine: Target Style!A few days ago my fashion forward little girls figured out that December 31st isn’t just another day. It’s a day to party! To get dressed up and dance around like princesses in the living room. And if they need yet another reason to convince me to buy them a glitter-filled sparkle shirt, New Year’s Eve is just that reason.

“Mom please! I need a fancy shirt for New Year’s Eve! It’s like a rule or something!”

And honestly, how can I argue with that? Even me, with the boring-est of boring wardrobes on the planet (neutrals only, double bonus points if it’s black or dark gray) can get on board with wearing a little bit of glitz and glam on the evening of December 31st.

With little time to spare (yesterday!), we headed to Target. Target is my favorite store on the planet when it comes to inexpensive and seasonal tops for the elementary crowd. And as expected, Target didn’t disappoint.

So what did we end up finding? This amazing Circo Girls’ Sequin Top (only $16.99, comes in four different colors), and a very sequin filled headband to match.

Who’s going to be the life of the party tonight? My eight-year-old, that’s who!

Now, only if we had a party (complete with disco ball) to attend tonight, that would be perfect!

How about you? Are your kids planning to party tonight? I pray we all start 2013 with a good ole’ sleep in till noon party tomorrow…

Do you keep your family festively stylish during the holidays? We’re giving away three $50 Target giftcards to brighten the season! To enter for a chance to win, simply comment on this post with a personal tip on how you dress your children conveniently — and with style — during the holidays!

A big thanks to Target for sponsoring this campaign. Click here to see more of the discussion.
