Snuggly Napper

By MadelinePetersen |

Sometimes Tate’s afternoon nap is cut short. I always know if he hasn’t slept long enough when I find him teary and thrashing with his eyes still closed.

In these instances, the best thing to do is pick him up and snuggle him to my chest. Sometimes I nurse him, sometimes I don’t. But he usually drifts back to sleep.

My method allows me continue to work on my laptop around him. I set his chest to my chest and straddle his legs over my lap.

He wakes up happier and I have been able to get work done in the meantime. It’s a win, win. And what is sweeter than a sleeping baby on your chest? I say nothing.
