Sprout Baby Food & Start Fresh Giveaway!

By Nicole Hill Gerulat |

I’m so excited to share this amazing giveaway with our Babble readers!

Over the last few weeks, Evie has been eating Sprout Baby Food whenever we are away from home and I’m so impressed with their flavor combinations, combining sophisticated (but simple) cooking flavors and flavorful spices.

Sprout Baby Food is created by celebrity chef Tyler Florence, aimed at giving kids a fresh start at food with healthy, organic baby food. I ordered Tyler Florence’s Start Fresh Cookbook (click here for some recipes!) and was equally impressed with the food combinations for baby. Think about it. If baby is introduced to complex flavors early on, it’s doubtful they’ll turn their noses at grown-up food later. (My opinion, of course…. more on that later.)

Want some free baby food & a great cookbook?

Sprout Baby Food is giving 10 vouchers of Sprout Baby Food AND Tyler Florence’s Start Fresh Cookbook to one lucky reader.

To enter, post a comment here telling us your baby’s favorite food combination by Sunday at midnight (EST), October 2nd, 2011.

At the moment, my baby just likes breastmilk- he’s 6 weeks old. Although he doesn’t like it if I eat spicy Indian food…

  2. Blair says:

My baby isn’t eating food yet but he gets to start soon and what great food to start with!!

  3. Betsy says:

My little O is of course in love with fruits, especially applesauce with cinnamon and thank goodness I have a very full apple tree in my backyard so I can make it fresh and organic for him! But I am always looking for new recipes so this would be a great win!!!

  4. Gina says:

    Apples and butternut squash

  5. Clare says:

Same here. My baby’s favorite is still my breastmilk. However, i am looking forward to solids and plan to make my own baby food. I have been collecting recipes and hope she will enjoy mashed banana & avocado!

  6. Bre says:

Brown rice cereal & breastmilk are Bradley Bear’s favorite combo :)

  7. Shel says:

We’re just getting started on solids with our 5-month-old so no combinations yet as we’re working our way through new single ingredients – so far he’s loved sweet potato, peas, and bananas, was not so sure about avocado. Tonight we try pears!

  8. Aspengirl says:

Baby still in the belly – so likes whatever I do!

  9. Kate says:

Living up to the cliche, vegetables have been a struggle. But I have recently found that my son enjoys when I make my sweet potato fries (with cumin). I am definitely going to check out this cookbook, thanks!

  10. Lauren says:

Ooohdef going to check out this cookbook!

  11. jessica says:

Noahs favorite is pasta with mozzarella cheese squash and sweet potato. He eats it up like there’s no tomorrow! His second favorite combo is chicken with black and green olives and chic peas!

  12. JenAHM says:

We’re just getting started on foods — she’s had brown rice cereal (no good for her), oatmeal, and prunes so far (see brown rice cereal). This week we’re starting on sweet potatoes. She’s so interested in everything we eat, so hopefully this will go well!

  13. arely colin says:

    bananas and berries

  14. Amy says:

    Avocado, straight up!

  15. Jamethiel says:

So far my almost 8 month old is rocking the apples & carrot combination, but he’s not a picky eater-if it’s food, he’ll eat it! That said, he does make faces at the spinach, broccoli & apple combo when I mix it with brown rice cereal to make it last longer! I’ve mainly been feeding him baby food pouches, but I’d love to try my hand at making his food myself…so far I’m limited to pasta!

  16. Lou says:

Nothing. At 6.5 months, he’s rejected all solids except for a graham cracker, and last night the filling from a french fry.

  17. Kim says:

We are interested in starting solids for our son, who is 4.5 months. I would definitely be interested in learning about this line of foods and the cookbook!

  60. Shannon says:

My 7 month old LOVES the baked sweet potato and white bean…I started him on baby rice, plain fruits and veggies. He HATED it all! I thought he would never eat solid food!
